Mammoth join end of season celebrations at the 21st Rugby Players Association Awards

The Mammoth Team were delighted to attend the 2019 RPA Awards held at Twickenham Stadium in May. This year, we were thrilled to be joined on our table by representatives from our close partners at the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

As one of the most prestigious events on the rugby calendar, the RPA awards is not only an opportunity for the best players and teams to be acknowledged for their successes over the course of the year but is also an important fundraising event for the RPA’s official charity, Restart Rugby.

In total, the donations received on the night and proceeds from the highly anticipated auction totalled an incredible £99,000. This money will be used to support professional rugby players suffering from serious injury, illness or hardship, in the form of financial, practical and emotional assistance for players and their families.

As always, Mammoth was delighted to contribute to the auction by donating a mattress to support this excellent cause.

The winners

The award ceremony saw Gloucester fly half, Danny Cipriani claim the prestigious Players’ Player of the Year Award, with his teammate Ollie Thorley claiming Sanlam Young Player of the Year. Also taking home prizes were England players Sarah Bern and Jonny May.
